Businessman Mukesh Shukla Chairman of Shumk Group of companies after declaring his intentions to contest for the 2021 general elections for MP Nakwa West, has outlined his big plans to develop Nakawa West through development based leadership that he says will go along way in expanding Nakawa into an industrial hub to curb youth unemployment, improve livelihood, attract foreign and local investment among others.
Mukesh said that through entrepreneurship leadership, he intends to promote learning and skills that will target the youth in Nakawa West to address the issue of youth unemployment using technology advancement and the existing peace environment created by NRM government.
“Nakawa West needs a development based leadership, and democracy well preserved, promoted, and protected. She needs skills set aggregation for the youth both mental and emotional” he said
He advised the youth to refrain from short cut matters of making money, but invest their energy and time in cultural values, ethics, health, education without wasting the main resources of money, time, and places.
On young politicians, he encouraged them to work as a team and invest their hard earned cash wisely while participating in politics urging them to discrediting the diversionary forces in political parties.
He told youth to respect the wisdom of elders and follow paths of fundamental selflessness principles set by NRM government.
“Use dialogue as means if settling disputes. Not all of us are meant for politics, don’t invest you hard earned money into politics, young people can concentrate on health, education, family well being. Diversionally forces in political parties should be discredited”
“NRM for the last 30 years has established peace and stability in Uganda. However, fundamental issues that still remain is to address democracy and governance to spur faster growth and development. Citizens should learn to support business leaders with entrepreneurial and development agendas to attain rapid drastic developments, “he said.
Mukesh Shukla, is a Ugandan by nationality, owns Shumuk Groups of Companies which includes Shumuk Alluminui Ltd in Nakawa, Emerald Hotel in Kampala, a Hotel in Kasese, Shumuk house on Kampala road among other structures in Uganda.
He was born in 1962 in Arua, Arua District, West Nile sub-region in Uganda’s Northern Region. His father was a revenue officer with the Uganda Revenue Authority from 1959 until 1986. The family has been in the business of aluminum saucepans since 1939.
