CAF POSTPONEDS AFCON AND CHAN DUE TO COVID-19.
The federation for African football (CAF) has extended the AFCON and CHAN competitions to 2020 and 2021 respectively over COVID-19.
The committee decided over the matters via a video conference after wide consultations from it's stakeholders.
The committee said that the dates for the final tournament and the remaining matches of the qualifiers could be communicated in due course.
The committee decided that Total CAF Champions League and Total CAF Confederation Cup, will resume in September with a Final Four (4) format. Semi-Final matches will be played in a single match.
The 2020 edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations has been cancelled and the CAF Women’s Champions League will be launched in 2021 as format and other details of the latter will be communicated in due course.
